Excellent spot for cold beer, hot wings and hanging out! This spot has historic level charm and great service. We were greeted and seated right away. It was really busy but our server came over quickly and got our drink order. We went with the trashed wings and cheese fries. Oh ya. Super crispy delicious and house made ranch. Get the wings!

I am a sucker for greasy, crunchy fried mushrooms and TVB doesn't disappoint. All the food is solid and drink prices aren't bad considering the location. Definitely a first date place: If he/she isn't into the vibe that may be a red flag for future prospects. It can get a bit loud and the parking isn't great, but if you can swing it this historic bar/restaurant (the original Des Peres post office back when mail was made of paper instead of electrons) is well worth it!

Old school restaurant, and Tavern, the ton of Anheuser-Busch memorabilia on the walls. They are known for their hand breaded appetizers, such as onion, rings, and mushrooms. There is a small kitchen to the right of the bar with a flat top and several fryers that cranks out the food served on paper plates and concession boats. People also talk about their burgers and their wings. The wings are big so ask for extra crispy or trashed. The burgers I find a little greasy so I ask for extra pickles and cut it with mustard. Mushrooms come with a horseradish sauce which is good and they make the ranch in house. I noticed they have 2 bottles of Pappy Van Winkle and several other bourbons from the Buffalo Trace distillery. I didn't ask the cost, but hey, if you want to sip a really nice bourbon, it's here. Service is pretty good and they do a good job keeping up with the volume. Overall, the place has been an institution since 1948 and located in a former feed store. Worth stopping in for the vibe and/or to watch sports for sure!

Just a good, old-fashioned, neighborhood bar and grill with great burgers, fries, onion rings, etc. Our first time here and we'll be back often. Nice people. Real people! No platitudes. Authentic. If you miss great onion rings (Trailhead, Schneithorst, etc.) this is the place you want to try. Ample parking. On Manchester, just east of Ballas (before the Manchester split will bother you). I'll post again, next month. But it's great, so far!

Another great burger and SUPERB service by Laurie. One of the best examples of someone who is a professional and great at what she does. Outstanding burgers, the best in west county in my opinion. Always busy here and you'll see why after dining at Village Bar. Excellent!
